Use Pinky on the AMajor

I am a man with medium sized hands. I found the A major difficult to play cleanly until I started using my pinky to get the lowest note (A).

I also found that the flatness around the hole made it challenging for me to get my finger to fully close the hole. I took a knife and cut away a lot of the flat area toward the "right side of the flute" (right - oriented as when I'm playing the flute).

This allowed the last digit of my finger to bend more naturally such that I could cover the lowest hole more comfortably.
